Job Description:

This position provides a unique opportunity to develop software and tools used in some of Australia's most prominent defence contractors, film production and visual effects companies.

• South Eastern Suburbs

You will have knowledge of the full Software Development life cycle and an excellent understanding of testing methodologies. You will be working as part of a skilled team of specialist developers and have the ability to effectively resolve complex technical problems and customer requirements.

Your demonstrated experience in managing deadlines will be the key to your success in this role. The successful applicant will provide a cover letter outlining the motivation to apply for this position detailing their relevant experience with respect to the key selection criteria.

To secure this role, you will need:

• Tertiary level qualifications in Computer Science or related disciplines
• 6+ years industry experience developing on Linux platforms 
• Experience in GLSL pixel and vertex shader programming 
• Extensive in experience with OpenGL 
• Extensive in experience with NFS, CIFS and samba in clustered environments 
• Proven bash, perl and PHP scripting ability 
• Strong knowledge of SAN hardware 
• Strong experience in system level C programming 
• Strong oral and written communication skills 
• Excellent troubleshooting skills 
• An analytical approach to problem solving
